Noteflight Editor UI - Take 2

1. A user without editing rights

There are buttons for manually zooming out and in on an Action Bar in the lower right corner.

There is also an auto-zoom toggle button - when selected, the score zooms automatically as today, but with a max zoom of around 100%.

There can be a gutter to the right or the score can extend beyond, requiring a horizontal scroll bar.

The root item for the drop down menus (File, View & Info) is text only.

There is a now a standard Info menu.

2. A user with editing rights

Two additional buttons in the header - Edit and Save.

Note that by default, the edit button is pressed when a score is created or opened.

3. Edit UI

Edit button is depressed.

Menu expands to include Edit, Score & Staff.

Action bar expands with new icons for Undo, Redo, Delete plus a control to show / hide the keyboard.

New slimmed down Notation Palette also appears - note that it fits both orientations of the iPad as is.

Enharmonics, and Move Selected Notes Up/Down moved to Notation Basics Palette (rather than current action group position).

4. Palette Picker

Mouse over or tap the Basics / menu item to see the palette picker.

It goes away when you select an item in the menu - we can discuss whether it's worth introducing a way to "pin" it on screen

5. Keyboard

Yep - the keyboard is still visible by default on touch devices.

6. View Menu

Make notes bigger / smaller removed.

Info gunk removed.

Flash Editor Play menu items added for audio stuff.

Removed most toggles now available in Document Layout

7. Listen Up

Volume and Speed controls.

Redundant toggles for Mix and Swing Eighth panels.

Note that we're in "View" mode - the Edit UI has vanished.

8. Socialize

Once again we're in "View" mode - the Edit UI has vanished.

Note that the score zoom level didn't adjust because auto-zoom is not selected.

9. New: Horizontal Palette

Here's the reworked palette / zoom stuff / actions merged back into a single thingy.

The palette section chooser can be collapsed.

10. New: Vertical Palette

Flip the palette vertically to take advantage of the typically available gutter.

Note that the score is left aligned, not centered.

Again, the palette section picker can be collapsed.
